Kempa Kai

Residential

This project is a truly spectacular Balinese-inspired retreat in Cayman, designed with every detail thoughtfully chosen and crafted with care. The space is warm and inviting, with seamless indoor-outdoor flow, perfect for entertaining or as a luxurious retreat for families.

The client was heavily involved in the design process, and their vision was to create a standout high-end rental that embodied the tranquillity and beauty of Balinese-inspired design while incorporating organic materials that resonated with the lush surroundings.

We carefully selected handcrafted stairs, woven textures, custom artwork by local artist Guy Harvey, and a handmade chandelier to create a unique and inviting space. The bar area, with its cozy and intimate feel, is a popular spot for guests to gather and enjoy the carefully curated personal items on the shelves.

The primary bedroom is a luxurious escape, complete with woven panels on the ceiling, a handmade bed, and nightstands. The custom-designed bunks and playful lighting are a hit with younger guests, while the guest bathrooms offer a spa-like experience with herringbone patterns, natural shell stone, floating shelves, and a freestanding tub with amazing views.

The outdoor space is a true oasis, featuring natural coral stone for the outdoor shower, shell stone on the pool deck, and hanging chairs and sun loungers. The seamless indoor-outdoor flow creates a space that's perfect for relaxation or entertaining.
