Project Type: Light Touch Renovation and Refurnishing
This project involved a light touch renovation and refurnishing of a family home to highlight the client's artwork collection and special pieces. We worked closely with the design-savvy family to create a seamless and elegant entertaining space that incorporated custom features and high-end finishes.
One of the standout features of the home is the use of custom-ordered Moooi chandeliers, which add a touch of glamour to the space. A bespoke hidden pantry and high-end Downsview kitchen with custom hardware were also added to create a functional and beautiful entertaining space.
The living room features a spectacular carpet from Rug Company, a Made Goods accent table, and furniture from Folier. The dining room boasts raindrop chandeliers and a lovely backlit onyx bar that create a sophisticated ambiance. Mirror-backed custom wine storage and indirect lighting were also added to enhance the design.
The bathrooms were updated with modern floating cabinets, great tile work, and custom millwork. Bocci Pendants were used for lighting, and faux burnt wood Japanese tile added to the stunning design.
The upper floor lounge was designed as a fun gathering space for the family, complete with another beautiful rug and custom fabrics. The primary bedroom is simple, open, and elegant, with a standout closet design that showcases an amazing collection of shoes, purses, and special pieces. The primary bathroom features silver travertine on the walls and flooring, along with a custom ceiling feature for the rain shower head.
Finally, the children's space is beautiful and light, with wallpaper, an antique mirror, marble, and embossed tile in the bathroom.
Overall, this project was a fun collaboration between the designers and the design-savvy family. The result is an elegant and sophisticated home that showcases the client's unique style and personality.
